Ever since the invention of the wheel, innovative minds have been exploring the field of friction and wear. The development of technologies for optimising friction and suitable surface coatings therefore has a long history. The losses caused by wear and tear in bearings, gearboxes and similar assemblies are considerable: every year, the economies of industrialised nations record losses amounting to around 5 per cent of gross national product. In order to reduce this significant figure and increase the service life and performance of stressed equipment in the long term, the Central Hessian company REWITEC® has developed a product portfolio that is unique to date.
Founded in 2003, this technology company is committed to enhancing the durability and energy efficiency of plant, machinery and gearboxes. Through the development of nano- and microparticle-based lubricant additives, REWITEC has® with a focus on the long-term service life of treated engines and gearboxes, and aims to make a significant contribution to energy efficiency. With the aim of protecting investments against wear and tear and excessive energy consumption, whilst ensuring system reliability and ease of repair, the medium-sized lubricant specialist REWITEC markets® its solutions worldwide. However, when it comes to its own development, the independent company attaches great importance to high-quality manufacturing in Germany. For this reason, all research, development and production take place at its headquarters in Lahnau.
The name REWITEC® stands for repair and restoration technology.
